My Journey with Human Debt

When did you first realise there is immense Human Debt at Work?

When did I first hear the terms  "Dependability"; "Structure and Purpose"; "Impact" as defined by "Google's Aristotle and Oxygen Projects"? Or the first time I heard about "Authentic/Adaptive/Servant/EQed Modern Leadership"; or of "Amy Edmondson's Psychological Safety"; "Ron Westrum's Generative Cultures"; "Kim Scott's Radical Candor'; "Brene Brown's Courage and Vulnerability"; "Gene Kim's Project Phoenix"; "Duena Blomstrom's HumanDebt"; "Rob England's, "Alisdair's Cockburn's Heart of Agile"; "Kent Beck's TDD"; "Jeff Sutherland's Scrum";  "Dave Snowden's Cynefin";"Tracy Bannon's Real Technologists"; "Dave Bally's "Tech Led Culture" or Allessandra's "Secret Society for Human Work Advocates"?

Where would I describe myself as a part of the community?
(Be more specific than "Tech" please - give us where you feel safe and happy. E.g if you pick #DevOps - that's your tribe, your crown who you #Team with routinely, with flow, ease, joy and purpose and whom you'd pay out of pocket to go think, learn, create and humanize with in person maybe over some legal altered state and not where your company/ present job or occupation dictates is where you should lie to yourself that the heart should lie?)

Would you say you're a dev? A techie? A nerd? A geek? a Hyperfixator? A conceptual thinker who gets tech architecture? An agilist?  A people-humanist-kind or technical-data-mathematical kind? Where did you learn about your own Emotional Skills? Have you ever had a situation when you increased the EQ of others in a team?

Did you use to be a cape-fatigued Human Debt Fighter intrapreneur (perhaps one of the 80% of "accidental leaders" who, after maybe moving invisible mountains in service of cleaning up big organisational Human Debt with their acts of humanity, who eventually burned out and escaped into independent-hood only to notice that common sense is even harder to sell as an entrepreneur in this world of noise?

Or a reformed former consultant happy to be able to stand up for their ideas and no longer be muzzled and bullied into keeping the atrocious Human Debt at work no longer a taboo?

Or one of the new humans in the workplace who, no matter what function, think and feel a certain way first and offer what skill they believe the enterprise will earn in an equitable exchange after that will clash with a ridiculously unfit-for-purpose workplace where fear strangles everyone and the culture honesty and continuous re-design that's at the heart of any sustainable technology maker is missing?
